It has been quite a busy week so far! We had former Senator of Wyoming, Al Simpson, as a guest on GoHarrison.Com and it was so refreshing to hear his straight-shooter opinions. I don’t know if it’s his age that makes him so ballsy or his clout from ages of experiences, but regardless his passion and progressive way of thinking is refreshing and impressive for a man of such age.
I swear, he is more forward thinking than some people a quater of his age. I had the privilege to answer the phone lines to the show and speak briefly to the many callers that called in to voice their opinions. I just wish that a younger demographic listened and reacted.
I also hope that you are participating in the Hangouts that happen every evening from 6-7PM PST. It’s a great opportunity to meet people from all over the world to discuss what you have on your mind. Sometimes we chat about politics, other times we chat about my dating life. Either way, its a great time and we’d love to have you join us!
I’ve had a ridiculously hectic week and I’m glad the weekend is almost near. Between covering the primaries and the tragic shooting in Ohio on top of regaining consciousness from my best friends bachelorette party this weekend (refer to the picture above), my tank is running on fumes and I’m just praying to make it through this day.
So my best friend is getting married at the end of this month! I’m so excited because we have been dreaming of this day since we were kids. As you know, its every girls dream to have a ‘happily ever after’ moment, and her’s is coming so quickly! I’m going to spend some time this weekend in search of the perfect dress to wear, I want to look my best for her wedding!
Also, my other bestie just got a raise at her work after months of slaving away at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA. For those of you that don’t know, South Coast Plaza is the shopping mecca of Southern California. Boasting pretty much every designer you can think of and some of the best restaurants in town, this mall attracts tourists to regular OC fashionista’s on a regular basis. This means my bestie has to deal with some of the most materialistic and high maitenance around. And she is FINALLY getting compensated for it. I’m so proud of her. Our lives seem to be falling together in an orderly fashion, but it takes a lot of hard work and dedication. I always thought it was so cliche to say and hear that, but its true. Nothing seems to be handed to us anymore, we literally have to slave away to earn some credit. Whether its getting married or getting a raise.
So with that being said, I must resume my daily duties as working woman of the 21st century and take on another day. I hope all of you Harrison’s Hellraisers have a fantastic day, and I’ll check in with you later.
