Cary Harrison’s Parade for World Peace was led by the 81 year-old surviving grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, Arun Gandhi. This “younger” Gandhi studied at his grandfather’s side from revolution through revolt and Mahatma Gandhi’s tragic assassination in 1946.
Among Hollywood attendees were David Arquette, Darryl Hannah, Katey Sagal, Mike Farrell, LeVar Burton, Sally Kirkland, Hal Sparks, Cindy Sheehan, Martin Sheen, Ed Asner, Roseanne Barr, along with dozens of network media and journalists to lead some 10,000 Angelinos.
What began during a recent interview with Gandhi as a call-to-action for “One Human Family” (motivated by Harrison’s visits to America’s most inclusive and southernmost city – Key West), award-winning LA Talk Show Host Harrison quickly expanded this credo into a worldwide movement which now includes Spain, Austria, Japan, Egypt, Italy and more with the assistance of the United Nations associations. Cary’s talented producer/co-host, Linda Blake-Freund, was key to pulling this off.

We also saw huge crowds from the A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition and a host of the nation’s leading intellectuals, philosophers, and socially-minded celebrities.
America’s second largest city welcomed the surviving Gandhi grandson and watched as an Harrison and Arun Gandhi led an international Parade for World Peace.
